Troubleshooting

• Make sure that the room is well ventilated. CO

readings may be elevated in a closed

room.

• Conﬁrm that the calibration gas is of known concentration. If the CO

readings are

consistently elevated or depressed, the calibration gas may be suspect. Try another

gas source.

• Make sure that the CO

module was properly set up and operating for the required

minimum period before testing.

• Check for air leaks in the pneumatic tubing and connections. Repair or replace as

needed.

• Conﬁrm that the sample gas ﬂow rate is greater than the CO

module’s pump ﬂow

rate.

• Conﬁrm that silicon tubing is not used in the procedure (silicon absorbs CO

which

affects the gas concentration stability and accuracy of the procedure).
