Troubleshooting
• Make sure that the room is well ventilated. CO
2
readings may be elevated in a closed
room.
• Confirm that the calibration gas is of known concentration. If the CO
2
readings are
consistently elevated or depressed, the calibration gas may be suspect. Try another
gas source.
• Make sure that the CO
2
module was properly set up and operating for the required
minimum period before testing.
• Check for air leaks in the pneumatic tubing and connections. Repair or replace as
needed.
• Confirm that the sample gas flow rate is greater than the CO
2
module’s pump flow
rate.
• Confirm that silicon tubing is not used in the procedure (silicon absorbs CO
2
which
affects the gas concentration stability and accuracy of the procedure).
