Preparing the System

Confirm system current version

An important item that you should check before attempting to install the software update

is to determine the System’s current version of software.

1. On the Central Station screen:

a. Move the pointer into the gray area in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

b. Hold down the

◆ key on the keyboard and press the right trackball/mouse key.

2. When the System Menu appears in the upper right corner, click Revision.

3. The bottom border of the map screen will be replaced by a splash window similar to

the following.

4. The Software Version displays in the splash window. The splash window automatically

disappears after a few moments.

5. The following table lists the compatibility with this software update.

6. If the system version is listed as compatible in the table above, proceed with the

upgrade.

Note

While the CDROM upgrade software will prevent the upgrade installation with

system versions that are not compatible, this step may be helpful in planning

activities prior to the upgrade.
